Winter Dialogues – “Service and Sacrifice” – All Sessions Begin at 11:15 a.m.

In this series, we will explore individuals or communities whose lives embodied Service and Sacrifice, and we will discuss how their examples can impact our own lives.

The discussions take place in a home, usually last about an hour and are followed by a common meal.  Everyone is invited to come and bring a dish.

September 23   – Albert Schweitzer, led by Lucy Muller  — Home of Ruth Diem and Jeffrey Slade, 72 Sam’s Point Road

November 4 – The Cornwall Grail, led by Anna Herscher, Home of Trisha Sayad, Woodside Dell, off Mt. Meenagha Road.

December 9 – Dietrich Bonhoeffer, led by Jeffrey Slade, Home of Irene Seeland, Old Inn Road.

January 6 – Nelson Mandela, led by Irene Seeland, Home of Ruth Diem and Jeffrey Slade, 72 Sam’s Point Road

February 10 – Jimmy Carter, led by Ruth Diem, Home of Pat and Dick Peters, Henry Road

March 17 – Devout Christian and U2 band leader Bono (Paul David Hewson) and his wife Alison Hewson, presented by John Duncan, and Don Casimiro Peña, founder of the Spiritualist movement, presented by Billy Carpio, Home of Pat and Dick Peters, Henry Road

April 7 – St. Francis, led by Irene Seeland, Home of Irene Seeland, Old Inn Road

May 5 – Alfred V. Zamm, M.D. F.A.C.A.I., F.A.C.P., dermatologist, allergist and clinical ecologist., led by Pat Peters, location TBA
